South Africa Courses

South African teachers have no course code that they commonly use. They are simply referred to by the Grade number and name. 

Science is called Natural Sciences up till grade 9.  In grades 10, 11, and 12 (called Matric in South Africa) this becomes streamed into Life Sciences (Grade 10 Life Sciences, Grade 11 Life Sciences, Grade 12/Matric Life Sciences) and Physical Sciences (Grade 10 Physical Sciences, Grade 11 Physical Sciences, Grade 12/Matric Physical Sciences)

Mathematics is unstreamed till grade 10 and becomes streamed into Pure Math in Grades 11 and 12/Matric and Math Literacy in Grades 11 and 12/Matric.
